There are 2 things we always do when we cross the Daintree.
First - we always stop on the other side to buy bananas from the nice Indonesian lady. The best and tastiest bananas you ever had - picked by hand that same morning. This year she mentioned that her licence is up for review, but surely they couldn't .... ?
Second - we always have lunch and a swim at Coconut Beach. Well, we gave the swim a big miss this year. Apparantly a 5 meter croc lives near the outlet at the northern end of the beach, and he swims past every morning and afternoon. Hmmmm ...
We walked up to the inlet. It's beautiful there, but what a waste when you can only look!
