Mr Whisper

I receive emails every week about real estate for sale in Port Douglas. Most is boring and of no consequence to me. However, yesterday I received an email in a new format - from Mr Whisper - which I quite enjoyed. Here's what he had to say:


MR WHISPER'S PORT REPORT. 09/11/2006

It's a great start to the day by taking a walk along Four Mile Beach. Although a better way is to join the yoga classes. Mr Whisper spotted our local councilor Rod Davis enjoying the class. Was that position "salute to the sun" Rod or salute to your fellow council...?

Nothing better than a wander down to On the Inlet with a few friends for a beer or two and to watch George the Groper do his jump thing. The new office block under construction is coming along well on the corner of Grant & Port Douglas's Champs Elysees - you know, Warner St.
Sunday breakfast at La Cucina - that's the spot for the A-listers in town - heard over coffee & fruit salad that Turtle Cove has been bought by a bunch of local fellas, heterosexual all of them...

Hot - or should that be cold? - Off the press is the latest in Ice Cream land. Lots happening, with one Wendy arriving on Macrossan St and Wicked Wendy leaving (the Wicked stays behind.)
Zinc is traveling well under the guidance of Angelo and is a favorite spot for a sunset drink for Mr Whisper. The rumour over the Moet was that the old Havana site was to become a hotel with the same starting letter as "Havana"- but nothing to do with Paris & Nicky........ mmmmm

The town is movie mad this week. "Fools Gold "has started shooting around the town and elsewhere. Kate Hudson & Matthew McConaughey are well settled in with the locals whilst more recent arrivals include Donald Sutherland and Ray Winstone.

Talking of Donald Sutherland - we were enjoying lunch with the birds at Thala Beach Resort and who should arrive but the Donald himself - was that Christina Ricci dining with him?
As you can guess its going to be a VERY busy social circuit for Mr Whisper over the next few week....
