Sheraton Mirage Port Douglas

Sheraton Mirage Port Douglas offers a beachfront oasis of five-star luxury, situated directly on Four Mile Beach between the Great Barrier Reef and the Daintree Rainforest.

Would you believe I have never received a booking for this 5 star resort? I love the pool, and the position between the 4 Mile beach and the golf course is nice, but I don't usually seek out places where you have to hold your breath (and feel guilty) when you walk through.

What more do they say on the Stella Resorts website about Sheraton Mirage?

Nestled amidst 130 hectares of tropical landscaped gardens, a championship 18-hole golf course, and two hectares of magnificent swimmable saltwater lagoons, you will experience the best of resort living. Allow the fine cuisine from our three award-winning restaurants to tempt you or simply relax by one of our stunning lagoons.

Christopher Skase (who started it all back in the 80s) paid a fortune for all the beautiful palm trees along the main road as you enter Port Douglas, and some galar attempted to kill them off last year. I don't think it had anything to do with Skase, and apparently they have managed to save most of the trees.
